Like almost every year I am also this time to North Sea Jazz Festival was. It strikes me that more and more kinds of music can be heard at the festival. I'm from the old school when I say that I am probably the bands as The Yellowjackets, Joe Zawinul (unfortunately can not anymore), Tribal Tech etc. Uncle Ben l'Soul was a surprise and well worth listening to and the sympathetic atmosphere he blew the audience with his uplifting music.
Chaka Khan (fashioned as I am) for me has always had a magical attraction. This time it was a pity that the sound was very bad.
Then it was time to Seal of wich my wife is a big fan of. I could not listen to it anymore after fifteen minutes and went outside to make me guilty of a bad habit, smoking.
We were fortunately able to book the night performance of Prince. That saved the night I must say. The sound was well defined but very hard. I have heard that it must have been around 110/127Db. I made great video shots as you can could see in an earlier message, but unfortunately the label of Prince (NPG) decided to forbid it on YouTube, like all other videos on YouTube of him made of this concert. Unfortunately.
